現今世界上的七個奇蹟
有一組學生在課堂上被問到，列出他們心裡認為「現今世界上的七個奇蹟」。
大部分學生的答案是：
1. 埃及的金字塔
2. 印度的泰姬陵
3. 美國的大峽谷
4. 巴拿馬運河
5. 美國的帝國大廈
6. 羅馬的聖彼得大教堂
7. 中國的萬里長城
當老師在收學生的答案時，其中有一個小女生遲遲無法寫完。
老師跟這個小女孩說，如果她有什麼問題而寫不完的話，老師可以給她一點協助。
這個小女孩說：是的，老師！我有個小小的問題...我腦海裡有好多世界上發生的奇蹟，但是，我沒有辦法決定該選哪七個才好...
老師說：沒關係，請你告訴我們，你想到了什麼，我們來幫幫你的忙！
小女生猶豫了一下，她說：我覺得，世界上的七個奇蹟是...
1. 我們能看見世界上美好的事物（To See）
2. 我們可以聽的到蟲鳴鳥叫和快樂的歌聲（To Hear）
3. 我們能觸摸新奇有趣的東西（To Touch）
4. 我們能品嚐美味的食物（To Taste）
5. 我們可以感覺到親友的關懷（To Feel）
6. 我們可以隨心所欲的大笑（To Laugh）
7. 我們能愛人與被愛（To Love）
小女生說完後，整的教室突然間安靜了下來...
因為，在我們的生命中，人們常常忽略了「最簡單而最平凡的」，而這些才是我們生命中的「奇蹟」！！！

Romance Story ~
As the sunset over a clear blue ocean, the sky was painted in red radiance shine upon a rose garden. There is a lady in the center of the garden. She has a long silky hair with teary blue eyes. As the sky turn into darkness, a man walked out from the mansion towards her. The man stopped behind her, she says “after reading the book, it said if a man really loves me, he will be willing to sacrifice his time for me. If he presents 1000 sticks of roses; miracle will happen.” Carl, “do you believe in miracle?” “Yes” said by Carl.
Alice is 20 years old, she is a kind and helpful person, she was born in a rich and happy family, but she is lame since she was born. Her parents try everything and bring her to oversea for medical, but still she not able to walk. Even with the advancement in medicine nowadays, the doctors still cannot explain why she is born lame. Alice's parents are very worried about her situation. Alice knows that and she tries very hard to standup and to walk. She is sensible and optimistic. She always believes in miracle and she believes she will be able to walk like everyone else one day.
Carl is 22 years old; he is Alice best friend since their childhoods. When Alice’s parents are not around, Carl is the one who take care and accompany Alice. Carl know that Alice wish to run and play with others since her childhood. Her situation causes her not to have many friends and she has no choice but to quit some of the activities. Carl loves Alice since he was a child, but he never tells Alice his feeling till now. He always spends time with Alice. When Alice is not happy, he will comfort her.
Carl decided to go to Canada and focus on research. He decided to research so that he would know how to cure Alice's leg. He did that because he wants Alice to be happy. He wants to give his best to find the cure, so he has no choice but to leave Alice, temporary. After Carl left, Alice feel lonely and unhappy, no one can accompany her always. She can share with no one. Although Carl keeps in touch with Alice frequently, for example long distance calls, msn chat, email daily, all Alice want is to have Carl standing beside her to accompany her, not through all these technologies.
Alice couldn't sleep well since Carl left. One day she woke up at 4 with strong feelings of wanting to go to the garden that is nearby her house. Alice used to go to the garden because it has much different type of flowers there. She went to the garden in her wheel chair. When Alice reached the garden, she saw a middle-aged man lying down in the garden.
When the man woke up, he is already in Alice's house. His face reflected his lost and fear. Alice tries to calm him down and make him understand that he is safe. After a short while, his emotions cool down finally. Alice tries to communicate with him so that she could help him. However, both of them cannot understand each other's language, as he has lost his memory. Alice asks her parents to let this man to stay with them. From that day, Alice took care of him and teaches him English. Alice named him Leo.
After Leo came, Alice's life is totally changed, she could feel something really different when Leo talk. As days go by, Alice realized that she fall in love with Leo, because Leo treated her very nice and she enjoyed the moment they two together. She is lame, and this causes fear in her to share to Leo about her feeling. Despite her fear, she did send email to Carl and tell him that she had fallen in love with Leo. The moment Leo came is the moment Carl paid full attention on his research, which resulted the lack of communication between Carl and Alice.
Leo had nightmares recently. The dream is about him dropping from a ship when it is hit by a surge. He awakens from this bad dream immediately. One month later, when he woke up, he reliaze wrinkle appear on his leg, he has no idea what happen to him. From these nightmares, he started to recall piece and pieces of his identity.
He is a French sailor from 1928. He recalls that he does not belong to this century. When he read the newspaper, he realize he is in year 2008. He doesn't know how he could back to the future. More and more wrinkles appear on his body day by day. So he decided to leave Alice's house without telling anyone. He wants to do something for the one he loves before he dies. That is to collect 1000 roses for Alice, so that miracle may happen to her. He left on the next day morning. When Alice woke up, she could not find Leo and she worried about him. Alice feels sad when Leo is not around. She is worried if something had happen to Leo. She cried every night and keep on asking her parents to find Leo. Within one month time, Alice becomes thinner and no appetite. She goes to the garden where she met Leo for the first time daily and hopes that Leo will appear, however, she is disappointed, day after day.
At a moment when she feels down, suddenly an incoming call from Canada disrupted her thought. Yes, it was a call from Carl. (I thought is Leo?) Carl told her that he has been busy researching her leg's problem, that's why for all these whiles he is not able to contact or email her. Carl never read the email sent by Alice previously. Besides, Carl told Alice that he will be coming back the next three days, and he has prepared a big surprise to her. Alice was not happy because what she wants was that Leo to appear in front of her right now.
The next day, when it is sunset, Alice goes to the garden she used to go. She saw an old people lie down in the middle of the garden when she reached, surrounded by a lot of roses. Alice finds the old man familiar, but she cannot confirm if he is Leo. She was also wondering why the garden was filled with roses suddenly. She is scared, as she didn't know if the old man is still alive. As she comes closer, she realizes that the old man takes after Leo, just that Leo hasn't reach that age. The old man is dying, he is not able to speak and see Alice clearly. He just smiles and tries, take one of the white rose to give her. At that moment, Alice started crying and knew for sure the old man is Leo. She didn't know why Leo will become like this and she couldn't accept it. Alice cried to the extent that she couldn't say a single word.
Alice knew that Leo did all these things because he believed in miracle, a miracle that will happen when a man presents 1000 roses to his true. She shouted to Leo, Why? I'm not worthy for all these you have done for me while she is still crying. As the night approaches, a strong wind blows suddenly. Alice fall down from her wheel chair and she saw Leo and all the roses fly away with the storm wind. Alice can’t believe all these things happen. After she comes to herself again, and go back to her wheel chair with much difficulty, it blows a soft wind, she feel comfortable and she hear Leo’s voice “Alice, je t'aime”
